Square Dancing was introduced to me at the age of 8 when attending Cane Country Squares in Bundaberg with family and loved it from the moment I started. Along with my (now) wife Rachelle (age 5) and my brother Matthew (Age 6) continued dancing through the years and was able to learn all levels up to and including Advanced 2. I enjoyed dancing so much I also learned Round Dancing and Clogging from an early age.

In 2000 along with my brother Matthew, I picked up the microphone to see what it would be like to be caller and have never looked back. My current calling commitments see me calling square dancing levels from Basics up to A1 as well as cueing Round Dancing and Clogging. I have also been invited to call for many clubs and enjoyed dancing with dancers from around Australia and Overseas.

State & National Conventions:

I have called at many State Conventions as well as 5 National Conventions.
I was a committee member for the 1997 State Convention held in Bundaberg.
I was Co-Convenor for the 2010 State Convention held in Rockhampton.
I was Clogging Liaison for the 2012 State Convention held in Toowoomba.
I am currently the Round Dance & Clogging Program Manager for the upcoming National Convention to be held in Buderim in 2016
Associations:
Currently I am a members of the following:
-          Australian Clogging Association
-          Australian Callers Federation
-          Queensland Callers Association
      o        Secretary – 5 years
   o        Central Vice-President – 2 years
   o        Program & Development Committee Member – 1 year
Basic Timeline:
In 2006 Rachelle and I moved from Bundaberg to Rockhampton where I became a co-caller with Rob Fry for Rocky Twirlers Square Dance Club and joined CQ Cloggers as their Advanced Cuer.
In 2007 Rachelle and I were married in Bundaberg where we had a combination of family and Square Dancers to help celebrate our day.
In 2008 I became the sole caller for Rocky Twirlers Square Dance Club after Rob Fry stepped away for personal reasons. This was the beginning of an amazing journey in my life as leader of my own club.
Since becoming Caller of Rocky Twirlers I have introduced Plus, Advanced, Rounds and Clogging to the area.

In 2014 I started a new clogging group – RT Cloggers Rockhampton
Who knows where my journey may take us.
